Strategic Committee

The Strategic Committee allows us to have privileged access to different views of the economic and financial environment, provided by reputed experts with broad and complementary perspectives that represent a reference for our investment team to shape our vision of the markets and our strategic and tactical advice.

The Strategic Committee meets once a month and it is composed of Arcano partners, the Family Office investment professionals and the following external advisors:

Fernando Fernández

Fernando Fernández

  • Professor in Economics at Instituto de Empresa and Consultant for the IMF, the World Bank, the Interamerican Development Bank and at the European Union.
  • Doctor in Economic Sciences by Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (1984), he has been dean of the Antonio de Nebrija University. Director of the Catedra of Nebriija and Santander Group in International Business Management. Served as vice chancelor of the Universidad Europea de Madrid between 1991 and 1996 and Chief Economist of IMF in Western Hemisphere Department in Washington.
  • Frequent participant in tv and radio discussions/forums as economical and political analyst. Member of the Editorial Board of El Economista and of the Economical Observatory of the economical diarie Expansion. Columnist of ABC, Actualidad Economica and El Economista.
Juan José Toribio

Juan José Toribio

  • Chairman of the International Center for Financial Research (CIIF) at the IESE Business School, where he also holds the position of Chair of its Foundation and Emeritus Professor in the Economics Department.
  • B.S. in Economics from the University of Barcelona, ITP from the Harvard Business School, a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
  • Senior relevant positions in public and private sector. Executive director of the IESE Business School, Executive Director of IMF in Washington DC and Chairman of Caixabank in Monaco and Inverbank, Chairman of the Financial Analyst Spanish Institutes and Adviser at the Barcelona Stocks Exchange.
Eusebio Vidal-Ribas

Eusebio Vidal-Ribas

  • Chief Executive Manager and Adviser to Casa Grande de Cartagena S.L., where he started in 2003 as Investments Manager.
  • B.S. in Economics from the University of Barcelona and has obtained different professional titles in trading organizations in the U.S.
  • Started his professional career in Merrill Lynch, combinning with executive at Benito y Monjardin, Banco Urquijo and Metlife.
